Set along the village’s main street, yet embraced by the quiet of an old orchard, the Fáy Mansion (Fáy Kúria) tells a story that spans centuries. Originally built over 200 years ago as a hunting lodge, it was expanded in the early 20th century into a stately country residence for the noble Fáy family. Following a turbulent history of nationalization and abandonment, the mansion was fully restored just over a decade ago – carefully renovated and equipped with all modern comforts, while preserving its timeless character. Today, it warmly welcomes groups of up to nine guests seeking space, tranquility, and a taste of history in the Hungarian countryside.
You enter the house via a grand staircase that leads into a spacious hallway with staircase. From here, step into the atmospheric dining room, where a crackling fireplace sets the tone for long, cozy evenings. To your right, you'll find the generously sized kitchen – fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals with ease and pleasure. Behind the kitchen is a utility room with all necessary cleaning supplies. From the dining room, head left into the light-filled living room, which offers direct access to the first bedroom. This bedroom features an en-suite bathroom complete with both a walk-in shower and a bathtub. Back in the dining room, a small hallway with a guest toilet leads you out to the large terrace. Return to the entrance hall and follow the staircase upward, where a surprisingly spacious open area awaits – perfect for collective activities such as yoga or workshops. On either side of this upper level, you’ll discover two expansive suites, each with its own fully equipped rivate bathroom, offering comfort and privacy. Both suites include a double bed that can easily be converted into two singles, as well as a sofa that transforms into an additional bed.
The wonderful garden and orchard also house our outdoor wellness area with sauna and hot tub, and summer kitchen — all tucked beneath a single generous roof, so that even rain or strong sunshine won’t put a damper on your holiday mood.
